The 12th Day of Christmas in Round Rock

The Childbloom Christmas Guitar Choir will accompany a reading of  O’Henry’s ”Gift of the Magi” on Dec. 13 in the Round Rock City Council chambers. This group is comprised of 24 Childbloom students. The performance is free!

Childbloom Student Awards since 2010

Austin/Round Rock Childbloom students have been winning guitar competition awards every year since the very first Childbloom students discovered them in 2007! We won’t list them all because the list might break the internet. These are some of the awards that Austin/Round Rock students have earned since 2010.

2019

  • 1st Prize Boston Guitar Fest Academy (University) division.
  • 3rd Prize – Guitar Foundation of America’s International Sr. Solo competition in Miami, Fl.
  • 1st Prize Hill Country Guitar Ensemble Competition (large group-high school division.)
  • 3rd Prize Georgia Guitar Competition (professional division) – Columbus Georgia
  • 1st Prize Florida State Guitar Festival Competition professional division.

2018

  • 1st Prize COLLEGE DIVISION (!) at the Domain Forget Guitar Festival competition, Quebec, Canada.
  • 4th Prize Boston Guitar Competition (18-21 division).
  • Highest scores in Texas UIL competitions.

2017

  • 1st place at the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Youth Ensemble Competition.

2016

  • 1st Prize – Indiana University High School Guitar competition.
  • 1st Prize – Texas A&M Guitar Symposium high school competition.
  • 3rd prize – Classical Minds adult competition – Houston, TX.
